Frequency: 28,800 vibrations per hour (vph), allowing for a smooth second-hand motion and precise timekeeping. Fun Fact - This is the same vph for many modern watches today.

Jewels: 17 jewels, reducing friction and wear on the movement's intricate components.

Power Reserve: Approximately 42 hours, ensuring reliable performance over extended periods.

Quickset Date: A convenient quickset date function, allowing for easy adjustment without needing to rotate the hour hands repeatedly.

Hacking Seconds: The hacking feature stops the second hand when the crown is pulled out, enabling precise time setting.

Why it's Unique:

The Day/Date. One of the strangest methods I've seen for a quickset belongs to the 1020 caliber. While the date is a normal operation of pulling out the stem one position, to change the date you simply pull out the stem two positions and set the time counter clockwise. This activates the day wheel, which allows the day to rapidly change. 


Omega's 1020 caliber was often housed in watches that reflected the bold, angular designs characteristic of the 1970s.
